Digital and Print Materials for ICAAP Campaign

Helping Illinois Schools and Providers Navigate Vaccine Requirements

To increase childhood immunization rates across the state, ICAAP approached Ocreative with a challenge: design and execute a statewide outreach campaign to support the rollout of their School Immunization Toolkit for Leadership. They had the vision of a centralized, user-friendly resource to help schools and providers navigate vaccination requirements, and needed a strategic partner to help them maximize reach and uptake with a limited budget.

Building a Strategic Campaign with Toolkits, Mailers, and Social Media

We partnered with ICAAP from concept to execution, building a fully integrated campaign strategy to bring the toolkit to life and get it in the hands of the right people:

Phase 1: Toolkit Development

  • We worked with ICAAP and community partners to identify key messaging needs
  • We designed and laid out a robust School Leadership Immunization Toolkit in an accessible format
  • We included clear CTAs, grade-specific guidance, and action steps for school administrators

Phase 2: Outreach Strategy

Print Bundles: We created two direct mail bundles, one for school leadership and one for pediatricians and clinicians, to raise awareness and offer practical resources

  • Developed custom, branded hard-sided envelopes with eye-catching messaging to improve open rates
  • Carefully curated, cleaned, and validated mailing lists to ensure each mailer was sent to a relevant, active recipient
  • Included resources like a poster, flyer, intro letter, and quick reference factsheets

Landing Page: Built a dedicated resource hub on the ICAAP website for easy access to the toolkit and other school vaccine materials

Podcast/Streaming Audio Ad: Wrote and produced an ad targeting school leadership with a clear message about vaccine requirements and the toolkit’s value

Social Media Campaign: Designed a series of shareable posts and graphics to break out required vaccines by grade for broader digital reach

Local Partner Engagement: Identified and engaged community-based organizations and trusted partners to help distribute and reinforce the campaign’s key messages across the state

THE RESULTS

This multi-channel campaign successfully positioned ICAAP as a trusted resource for immunization guidance during a critical back-to-school season. Thanks to the aligned messaging and coordinated outreach:

  • The digital toolkit landing page saw strong early traffic and engagement
  • Audio ads and social content helped reinforce messaging in both professional and public spaces
  • Materials were easy to share and reuse, empowering local organizations to amplify the message
